Match duration: 12 minutes + 3 minutes for team changeover

Governing rules: Current CMAS Underwater Hockey Rules of Play, subject to the modifications specified below.

By registering a team and participating in the tournament, all participants agree to these Tournament Rules.

1. GENERAL RULES
  1. The tournament will be played in accordance with the current CMAS Underwater Hockey Rules of Play, with the exceptions specified in these Tournament Rules. In the event of any discrepancies, these Tournament Rules shall take precedence.

  2. All participants must also comply with Aquasfera Olsztyn's facility regulations and follow the instructions of referees, the Organiser and venue staff.

  3. The final match schedule, including the drawn team positions for the qualification stage, will be published on 3 November 2026.

  4. The Captains' Meeting will take place on tournament day at 08:30 and will last approximately 10 minutes. Attendance by the team captain or a designated representative is mandatory. Online participation is permitted.

2. TEAMS AND PLAYERS
  1. Matches will be played in a 6 vs 6 format. Each team may register a maximum of 12 players: 6 in the water + 4 substitutes + 2 reserves.

  2. The final team roster must be completed and approved on tournament day, before the tournament begins.

  3. A player may represent only one registered team throughout the tournament. Fielding an ineligible player may result in a forfeit.

3. COMPETITION FORMAT – GOLD / SILVER
  1. When registering, each team declares its preferred level: Gold or Silver. This declaration is used solely to create seeding pots and ensure a balanced draw. It does not guarantee placement in the declared division.

  2. The tournament consists of three stages:

    • Stage 1 – Qualification

    • Stage 2 – Gold and Silver Division Matches

    • Stage 3 – Finals and Placement Matches

  3. Qualification results determine each team's placement in the Gold or Silver division.

  4. The exact competition format will be adjusted according to the final number of participating teams. The Organiser aims to provide each team with at least 8 matches and, where fewer teams participate, 9–10 matches whenever possible.

  5. Gold and Silver have separate final rankings. The winner of the Silver division finishes 1st in Silver, rather than being ranked below the Gold division teams.

4. MATCH DURATION AND PROCEDURES
  1. Each match lasts 12 minutes of running time, with no change of ends and no team time-outs. A 3-minute changeover period is scheduled between matches, making each match slot 15 minutes long.

  2. Player substitutions must follow CMAS rules.

  3. After a goal is scored, play should resume as quickly as possible, within a maximum of 30 seconds.

  4. The match clock may only be stopped by the Head Referee, particularly in cases of serious injury, safety concerns or technical failure. The match will not be extended as a result, and the score recorded up to the moment play is stopped will stand as the final result once the scheduled match time has expired.

  5. Teams should be ready at their designated pool 2 minutes before the scheduled match start. Matches begin according to the official schedule, regardless of any team delays, and will not be extended due to late arrival.

  6. If a team is not ready, the match will begin with its available players. If a team remains unable to start playing for more than 3 minutes, a 5–0 forfeit may be awarded to the opposing team.

5. POINTS SYSTEM AND GROUP RANKINGS

Win – 3 points Draw – 1 point Loss – 0 points

If two or more teams finish with the same number of points, rankings will be determined in the following order:

  1. Head-to-head result.

  2. For ties involving three or more teams – results of matches played between the teams concerned.

  3. Goal difference.

  4. Higher number of goals scored.

  5. Lower number of goals conceded.

If the ranking still cannot be determined and affects qualification or final seeding, penalty shots will be used.

6. DRAWS IN FINAL AND PLACEMENT MATCHES
  1. Matches in the qualification stage and Gold/Silver division stage may end in a draw.

  2. Final-stage and placement matches requiring a winner will be decided without extra time. In the event of a draw, each team will immediately take 3 penalty shots in accordance with CMAS rules. If the score remains level, additional penalty shots will be taken alternately until a winner is determined.

  3. An exception applies to matches for 3rd and 1st place in both the Gold and Silver divisions. In the event of a draw, a 5-minute Golden Goal extra-time period will be played. If no goal is scored, each team will take 3 penalty shots in accordance with CMAS rules, followed, if necessary, by alternating penalty shots until a winner is determined.

7. REFEREEING
  1. Each match will be officiated by three water referees. The Organiser will provide one experienced water referee, while the remaining two water referees will be appointed from the teams finishing their previous match.

  2. Each team must have at least one player holding a Level 1 referee qualification or higher.

  3. Each team is required to provide at least one water referee for a number of matches equal to the number of matches played by that team. For example, a team playing 8 matches will receive 8 refereeing assignments.

  4. Refereeing assignments will be published together with the schedule for each subsequent tournament stage and are mandatory for all teams.

  5. Each team is responsible for ensuring that its designated referee arrives on time. Different qualified players may be assigned to referee different matches.

  6. Decisions concerning the conduct of a match are made by the Head Referee. Disputes, player eligibility and interpretation of these Tournament Rules shall also be resolved by the Head Referee.

8. FOULS AND PENALTIES
  1. Fouls and penalties will be handled in accordance with the current CMAS rules.

  2. Referees may impose, among others, warnings, advantage puck, 1-, 2- or 5-minute penalties, penalty shots, penalty goals or player expulsions.

  3. Serious misconduct or grossly unsportsmanlike behaviour may result in a player being excluded from a match or from the entire tournament.

9. EQUIPMENT AND SAFETY
  1. All players must use equipment compliant with CMAS requirements, including a mask, snorkel, fins, mouthguard, cap with ear protection, protective glove and an appropriate underwater hockey stick.

  2. The White team must use white caps and sticks, while the Black/Dark team must use black or dark-coloured caps and sticks.

  3. A referee may remove a player from the game if their equipment is damaged, non-compliant or poses a safety risk. The player may return once the issue has been resolved.

10. PROTESTS
  1. Only the team captain may submit a protest, within 10 minutes of the end of the match.

  2. Protests may concern breaches of the Tournament Rules, participation of an ineligible player, procedural errors or incorrect application of the rules.

  3. Subjective refereeing decisions concerning situations during play are generally not subject to change after the match has ended.

  4. The Head Referee has the final authority on organisational matters.

11. FINAL PROVISIONS
  1. The Organiser reserves the right to adjust the group structure and match schedule according to the final number of registered teams and to make necessary changes due to delays, safety concerns or technical circumstances.

  2. Any matters not covered by these Tournament Rules shall be governed by the current CMAS Underwater Hockey Rules of Play.

Dywizje: Gold / Silver
Zasady bazowe: aktualne CMAS Underwater Hockey Rules of Play z modyfikacjami

Zgłoszenie drużyny i udział w turnieju oznaczają akceptację niniejszego regulaminu.

1. ZASADY OGÓLNE
  1. Turniej rozgrywany jest zgodnie z aktualnymi zasadami CMAS Underwater Hockey Rules of Play, z wyjątkami określonymi w niniejszym regulaminie. W przypadku rozbieżności pierwszeństwo mają zasady turnieju.

  3. Ostateczny harmonogram, wraz z rozlosowanymi pozycjami drużyn w fazie kwalifikacyjnej, zostanie opublikowany 3.11.2026.

2. DRUŻYNY I ZAWODNICY
  1. Mecze rozgrywane są w formacie 6 vs 6. Drużyna może liczyć maksymalnie 12 zawodników: 6 w wodzie + 4 zmienników + 2 rezerwowych.

  2. Ostateczna lista zawodników jest uzupełniana i zatwierdzana w dniu zawodów przed rozpoczęciem turnieju.

  2. Turniej składa się z:

    • Fazy 1 - kwalifikacji,

    • Fazy 2 - rozgrywek Gold i Silver,

    • Fazy 3 - meczów finałowych i klasyfikacyjnych.

  3. Wyniki kwalifikacji decydują o przydziale do Gold lub Silver.

  4. Dokładny system zostanie dostosowany do ostatecznej liczby zespołów. Organizator planuje zapewnić każdej drużynie minimum 8 meczów, a przy mniejszej liczbie uczestników - w miarę możliwości 9-10 meczów.

  5. Gold i Silver mają oddzielne klasyfikacje miejsc.

4. CZAS I PRZEBIEG MECZU
  1. Mecz trwa 12 minut czasu ciągłego, bez zmiany stron i bez time-outów. Pomiędzy meczami przewidziane są 3 minuty przerwy technicznej, dlatego pełny slot trwa 15 minut.

  2. Zmiany zawodników odbywają się zgodnie z zasadami CMAS.

  3. Po zdobyciu bramki gra powinna zostać wznowiona możliwie szybko, maksymalnie w ciągu 30 sekund.

5. PUNKTACJA I KOLEJNOŚĆ W GRUPACH

  5. mniejsza liczba straconych bramek.

  3. Wyjątek stanowią mecze o 3. i 1. miejsce w dywizjach Gold i Silver.

  6. Decyzje dotyczące przebiegu meczu należą do Sędziego Głównego. Sprawy sporne, uprawnienia zawodników oraz interpretację regulaminu rozstrzyga Sędzia Główny.

8. FAULE I KARY

9. SPRZĘT I BEZPIECZEŃSTWO

  2. Drużyna White używa białych czepków i kijów, a drużyna Black/Dark - czarnych lub ciemnych.

  2. W sprawach nieuregulowanych obowiązują aktualne CMAS Underwater Hockey Rules of Play.
